1. Payment Policy


Discus.ae accepts the following payment methods: 

  • Credit or Debit Card payment online
  • Cash on Delivery
  • Card on Delivery

We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, KNET, Benefit, Mada, and Sadad cards. All credit card details are processed securely using SSL certificates and under no circumstance any customer details will be mishandled.

Only 3D secure credit and debit cards can be processed online. If you experience rejection with older cards, you may opt to pay on delivery using our card machine. All payments should be made in AED as we do not accept other currencies. Discus.ae holds the right to cancel or reschedule delivery in case of delayed payment or non-payment. 

 

2. Cancellation Policy


Orders can be cancelled at any point except when the order has already been dispatched from the store. If a payment was made online, a refund can be issued back to the same card/account number used for purchase.

 

3. Delivery Policy


Orders are delivered using the Discus.ae vehicles which are equipped to transport live fish, frozen goods, plants, glass content, and care products safely under temperature controlled conditions.

All purchases are subject to product availability and will arrive following our delivery schedule. In case items are unavailable, a representative will contact the enlisted phone number or send an email to the address on file to notify. 

All our live stocks are thoroughly tested and quarantined before packing and guaranteed to arrive free of tapeworms or diseases. Any death or illness of live animals after being added to an aquarium cannot be replaced or refunded. If such problems are encountered then it is connected to aquarium conditions or non-compatible tank mates (e.g. mixing with fish or plants from other sources). Fish acclimation to a new aquarium is the sole responsibility of the buyer and not the Discus.ae delivery team.

  • Deliveries to Dubai and Abu Dhabi can be fulfilled within 24-48 hours given all items are in stock.

  • Due to our Policy on safe product handling, delivery may take 2-7 working days for live animals and frozen products.

  • Delivery to Distant areas (Out of city and over 30 km radius) requires to be inquired by contacting our customer service before ordering and a delivery fee is charged based on distance.

 

 

5. FREE Delivery


Free Delivery is available within Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi city for orders with value of 100 AED or more (excluding VAT). Only addresses within 30 km radius of the city center qualify to receive this offer, locations outside our coverage areas will require an added delivery fee which will be adjusted after notifying the customer.

Orders to other Emirates or under 100 AED (excluding VAT) will receive a standard delivery charge based on location. Check our Delivery Schedule for more details.

 

 

6. Return & Refund Policy


To be eligible for a return or refund, the following conditions must be met:

 

  • Not exceeding two days since the time of purchase.

  • Item must be unused and should remain in the same condition when received in the original packaging.

  • Livestock and perishable goods such as food and plants are not included for refund.

  • Wasn’t purchased on sale or discounted price.


Note: Buyers will be notified with a ‘refund approval status’ once the item has been evaluated by Discus.ae. If approved, the refund will then be processed and payment will be credited to buyer's account/credit card or original method of payment within a certain amount of days.

Please contact your bank or the credit card company to inquire about any late settlements as it may take a few working days for credit. If a refund is still not received yet, please contact us directly at support@discus.ae to further discuss and take necessary action.

 

7. Exchange Policy


Exchanges are only applicable for/when:

 

  • Newly delivered items with an existing defect within 2 days after purchase.

  • Electronic equipment’s with a valid warranty and only non-working parts can be replaced following a test and brand's policy. 

  • Entire product is no longer working and still covered by warranty, it will be exchanged with a new product.

Proof (picture) of the defective product should be sent via email to support@discus.ae or sent to (+97158 967 2054) for review.  The Defective product, original package and proof of purchase invoice from Discus.ae should be handed over before the exchange.

Note: Items that are broken or misused by the customer are not eligible for an exchange nor returned or replaced. If the replacement is not available in stock, we may offer an alternative item covering the same value.

We reserve the right to refuse items which appear to have been used or altered or in condition which does not meet our accepted standard.

 

 

8. Exchange Shipping/Delivery


To return your product, you can mail your product to: P.O. Box 30908 Abu Dhabi UAE or contact our customer service for an arrangement. The buyer will be responsible for paying the delivery costs for the return. Delivery costs are non-refundable. In case of a refund, the cost of return delivery will be deducted from the refund. Depending on where you live, the time that it may take for the exchanged product to be delivered may vary.

 

 

9. Acceptable Size, Weight, and Color Variation


We at Discus will always certify that quality of the products may not be compromised. When an order is placed for live stocks, plants, or natural materials such as wood or stones, the selected size or weight of product specified shall follow the pricing and size labeled by the breeder, nursery, or exporter. It is to be expected that with live stocks and natural products there may be small variations in size, weight, and color.

Live Fish you purchase from Discus arrive from world renowned sources and will grow to the species' adult size, but choice of diet, poor water quality, temperature and improper filtration may disrupt the growth of the fish for which Discus shall bear no responsibility. Every image on all product pages represent the species in their general adult form to demonstrate the color and appearance for easier selection, color patterns and markings in some species may have natural variability. All live stocks sold by Discus are free from hormones or artificial coloring, providing animals that exhibit colors with natural variations.

We will ensure that variation of size or weight never exceeds more or less than 10% of any item specified. Items delivered with more than 10% variance in size or weight ordered will be considered incomplete and must be reported to us on day of delivery to be dealt with by our management team with a satisfying arrangement.

 

 

10. Non-Delivery Claims


If an order fails to arrive during the expected delivery date, please inform us by calling the numbers on our contact page or send us an email with your order number. The delivery team will be notified to provide further information. In case the delivery was not fulfilld within the expected period as mentioned in our Delivery Schedule, it is then possible to request a complete refund which will be issued within a certain amount of days.

In case of unforeseeable, extraordinary circumstances for which we are not responsible, we are entitled to postpone the delivery excluding any damages and if the delivery is delayed for more than one month, both we and customer are entitled to cancel the Order.

 

 

11. Store Pick-Up


Once your order is placed, we will send you an email notification or phone call confirming that items are available and ready for pickup at the Shop location. Pick-Up orders require a minimum of one working day to arrange.

You will have five (5) days from the time we send you an email confirming your product are ready for pickup. If the order is not collected during the aforementioned time period we will automatically cancel your order.

If you wish to designate another person to pick-up your order, they must bring: A forwarded copy of your proof of purchase with your written consent, including the full name of the designated person matching government-issued ID.
