Not to be mistaken with the common neon tetra, the green neon tetra is smaller and with a more intense "neon" line that makes it distinctly different than the neon tetra. This fish is not suitable with larger fish due to its very small size and not recommended for a Discus aquarium despite its tolerance to high temperatures.
